Tomorrow is going to be a special pop-punk edition of Fangirl Friday! Be sure to tune in to hear some awesome jams while we get stoked to see New Found Glory, Saves the Day, Fireworks and Hellogoodbye!
-I either want to be buried as a mummy or a zombie. If a zombie, I’m not allowed to die until Bridget has engineer friends who can animate my corpse. If a mummy, I want bandages and everything, and to be buried in a sarcophagus.
-Bridget wants a green funeral, I want a purple one.
1. Hit The Lights “More Than A Feeling” (originally recorded by Boston) 2. VersaEmerge “Paint It Black” (originally recorded by The Rolling Stones) 3. The Almost “Free Fallin’” (originally recorded by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers) 4. Mayday Parade “We Are The Champions” (originally recorded by Queen) 5. The Summer Set “Rock ‘n Roll All Nite” (originally recorded by KISS) 6. We The Kings “Caught Up In You” (originally recorded by .38 Special) 7. A Skylit Drive “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” (originally recorded by Journey) 8. I See Stars “Your Love” (originally recorded by The Outfield) 9. Pierce The Veil “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” (originally recorded by Blue Oyster Cult) 10. Forever The Sickest Kids “Crazy Train” (originally recorded by Ozzy Osbourne) 11. The Maine “Pour Some Sugar On Me” (originally recorded by Def Leppard) 12. Envy On The Coast “All Along The Watchtower” (originally recorded by Jimi Hendrix) 13. Every Avenue “Take Me Home Tonight” (originally recorded by Eddie Money) 14. Never Shout Never “Bohemian Rhapsody” (originally recorded by Queen) 15. blessthefall “Dream On” (originally recorded by Aerosmith)
1. None of these bands are punk, most of them barely even qualify as pop-punk.
2. Why must they butcher classics like this? Wasn’t NSN happy enough destroying the Beatles’ songs at Bamboozle? Now you’re going to go after Queen too? And Bohemian Rhapsody of all songs? Please, just stop.
And really blessthefall? You honestly think you can cover Aerosmith? I’ve never even listened to your band, but since it’s all one word I’m just going to assume I won’t like it.
3. On a more positive note, I would like to hear HTL’s cover. It seems like it’d be amusing. I dig Hit The Lights, and also enjoy Boston, so I hope I’ll like what I hear. Also, The Maine’s cover is amusing. It was the only reason I watched their set at Warped Tour. haha
Watching videos of auto-tune the news as research.
Seriously though, anyone want to direct me to any bands who use auto-tune in order to add a vocal effect (i.e. like T-Pain, but not necessarily as excessively)? I’m trying to find someone who is more “pro-auto-tune” to interview. Any suggestions? Myspace links? Anything?
This bums me out a lot. This band is fantastic, both live and in recorded form. I’ve seen them twice, once with and once without Michelle, and each time the band had so much passion. I remember getting chills when they closed their set with “Hands in the Sky (Big Shot).” It was just such an intense and amazing performance. It was such a disappointment seeing so few people at their show in Pittsburgh. It sucks when bands who are so passionate, and so talented, just have to stop because of financial reasons. While artists with little substance are selling tons of records, bands like this can’t even afford to exist. I’ll admit, I download music plenty, but this band was one of the few whose music I purchased whenever they put out something new.
Well, I guess I wish the best of luck to all of them in their future musical endeavors. Please, if you haven’t yet, go listen to their music, and you know, BUY a record. I promise you, each and every one of their albums is worth the investment.
if i had to make a list of every reason not to keep on keeping on number two would be the pencil i’d have to find ticonderoga ten feet long number twenty two thousand three hundred and eight would be my overwhelming urge to hyperbolate but sadly most of all, at the top of my list would be the fear of commitment in my penman’s fist
it feels like fifteen elephants sitting on my chest thirty six vultures picking at my flesh so man overboard without a life vest yeah, i’m a little weighed down but i’m swimming my best
i just want a little bit more, a little bit more, a little bit more, a little bit more tonight i just want a little bit more, a little bit more, a little bit more, i need a little bit more time i just want a little bit more, a little bit more, a little bit more, a little bit more come here! i just need a little bit more, a little bit more, a little bit more, i need a little bit more time
i dont know the future of fall out boy. its embarrassing to say one thing and then have the future dictate another. as far as i know fall out boy is on break. (no one wants to say the “h” word). as much as i dont have a solo project, i also cant predict that id ever play in fall out boy again. not due to personal relationships as much as a band we grew apart. in this statement id like to include there is the possibility that fob will play again with out me or i will be a part of it when everyone is on the same page. it is no ones fault and there is no animosity about the decision. i felt as fans you deserve to know. there is no singular reason for this. the side projects or bands are supported by all members of the band. i am the single biggest fan of fob and if this is our legacy than so be it. i am proud of it.
What a bummer. This band was pretty much my life in high school. I still love their music, always will. Looking forward to hearing all the new side projects though. Best of luck to all the dudes in the band.
